The Ford F250 is a hard-working truck and is capable of tough snow removal jobs. Choosing the right plow for your truck can be a daunting task, but Snow Plow News is here to help make that decision easier. We have selected a few of our favorite plows for the F250 and provide some of the basic details on each plow below.

Boss Plows

BOSS Standard- and Super-Duty straight-blade plows are reliable and strong to keep up with the toughest snow removal jobs. Boss manufactures Super-Duty Full-Trip and Super-Duty Trip-Edge plows for F250 trucks. BOSS Super-Duty straight blades come standard with SmartLight 3 LED Headlight system with Ice Shield Technology to prevent snow and ice build-up, heavy-duty push frames and push frame attachment bars and optimized blade curl. The blades reinforced moldboard  increases blade rigidity and durability, making the BOSS Super-Duty blades an incredible choice for the F250.  BOSS Super-Duty Full-Trip plows come in 7’6″, 8′, 8’6″ and 9′ steel models and 7’6″ and 8′ ploy models. The Super-Duty Trip-Edge plows come in 7’6″, 8′ and 9′ steel models and 8′ and 9′ stainless steel models.
BOSS offers their DXT line of plows for the F250. The DXT combines both trip-edge and full moldboard trip technologies for high and low trip protection when striking obstacles like frozen snowbanks, manhole covers and curbs. Flared wings with enhanced curl throw snow with maximum efficiency and the DXT’s multi-position plow blade can quickly and easily switch positions to move large amounts of snow. Standard features on the DXT are the SmartLight 3 LED Headlight System with Ice Shield Technology, the BOSS Patented Snow Catcher to catch snow at the plows pivot point, Optimized Hydraulics to streamline function by using fewer valves and hoses and SmartLock Cylinders to lock blades in place when backdragging. The DXT models come in 8’2″, 9’2″ in steel, stainless steel and ploy. The steel models also are available in 10′.

Hiniker Plows

Hiniker 700 Series plows are Mid-Size plows and are built for homeowners and small businesses who do their own winter property maintenance. Commercial quality lights, wiring, controls, hydraulic components and the exclusive Hiniker Quick-Hitch mounting system provide unparalleled reliability in a compact plow. The Hiniker Mid-Size plows come in either HDPE or Stainless Steel moldboards. Hiniker offers their Mid-Size plows in 7′ and 7.5′.

The new Hiniker 9300 Series Torsion-Trip V-Plows are incredibly versatile and strong. Deep-curl flared wings cast deep snow farther and higher while providing more scoop capacity. The 9300 series is available in 8.5 and 9.5 ft. widths and can be customized with optional skid shoes, wing kits, and snow deflectors.

Hiniker 2000 Series full-trip snowplows use box section frames and heavily reinforced moldboards for strength and durability. 30 inch tall high-curve moldboards move heavy snowfalls quickly. Convenient compact joystick controls can be mounted anywhere or held in the palm of your hand. And the Hiniker Quick-Hitch mounting system is quick and easy, living up to the name. The hydraulic scissors lift reduces transport bounce and bang. The 2000 Series full-trip plows come in 7.5′, 8′ and 8.5′ blade widths.

Sno-Way Plows

The Ford Super Duty F250 is able to handle both the Sno-Way 29HD Series 2 and 32 Contractor Series 2 snow plows. These commercial straight plows are custom designed with a sub-structure that allows for the addition of accessory wings. The addition of the E-Z Switch wings effectively doubles plowing capacity. The 29HD Series 2 plow comes in 7′-6″ and 8′ lengths. The 32 Contractor Series 2 comes in 8′-6″, 9′, and the 10′ lengths.

Sno-Way’s 29VHD Series 2 plow has become a popular plow for the F250 due to its many plow features. This plow is super versatile with six different plow configurations. The Sno-Way Down Pressure system also comes standard with the 29VHD Series 2 plow. The 29VHD Series 2 flared wing V-plow has a patented Ground Hugger blade design coupled with the MaxAdjust Leveling System to keep the plow on the ground with optimal alignment that eliminates snow trails. The 29VHD Series 2 comes in 8’6″ and 9’6″ lengths.

The 29R Series 2 and the Revolution HD Series 2 snow plows are recommended if you are looking for maximum snow moving capacity. These hinged plows are straight plows with hydraulic end wings that can be controlled together or independently. The wings can be rotated up to 90-degrees in a number of custom configurations. The 29R gives you the ability to move up to 4.8 cubic yards of snow and the Revolution HD can move as much as 6.1 cubic yards at a time. Both of these plows come with Sno-Way’s patented Down Pressure system that increases efficiency by 30% by hydraulically increasing the downward pressure by 250-lbs. The 29R Series 2 comes in 8’10” length and the Revolution HD Series 2 comes in 10′ length.
