The Chevy Silverado Medium Duty truck is very popular with government entities. These medium duty trucks have a Duramax diesel engines with an Allison automatic transmission, so it has an ease of operation. The Chevy Silverado allows for municipalities to remove snow and ice, de-ice and put a traction agent down for hours at a time during a winter event.

The Silverado has a 50 degree wheel cut on the two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, but you still have a 40 plus degree wheel cut on the 4×4, which allows this truck to be more maneuverable in clearing municipal streets, parking lots and facilities.

The Chevy Silverado is the workhorse and the backbone of those that are going out and plowing snow on municipal and county roads. Chevy has many adopters that know that they can rely on the Chevrolet Duramax and the Allison automatic transmission to be able to do that kind of work.
